For Fun

I took this image of my Brother and Sister in law in front of their house. I guess I should say images, it is like a wheres waldo. Look and see how many times you can see the mom and dad and how many times you can see the kids!

I set up my tripod and took multiple images of them moving to different locations, interacting with each other and some when they weren't looking. Then I took them in to photoshop and added layer and layer until it turned out something like this. I love the way it turned out because to me it is a look in to their real life. Their kids are so active always doing something. I think this family portrait is the most true portrait I could take of their family.

This was a fun project. Stay tuned I think I will do more like it!

Jill-this is a GREAT idea, seriously! I am really impressed. I love working with moving people for night shots, but I've honestly never thought of doing it like this during the day. Fantastic, absolutely fantastic.

oh my gosh. First, I looooove this picture! You are so creative! I agree with you two- it's probably "real life" for a lot of people with kids! haha! Also. Whenever they decide to move, let me know. I am DYING over this house!

Jill(yn) is a fantastic artist, a great wife to our brother, aunt to our children, and a good friend. Being the subject of the photo, it's fun to see what Jill was able to do with just an ordinary family in the front yard on a summer day. she took many more pictures of our family that day that we treasure. The house? not for sale currently, but that could change. The house is actually 100 years old this year, but was completely re-done indoors three years ago.
